Frequently Asked Questions

What do I do for aftercare?

Good question! You can read our recommendations below.
We advise everyone to downsize their piercing jewelry after the recommended waiting period listed.

This is a crucial step in the healing process, it helps prevent irritation bumps and reduces the risk of your piercing shifting or changing angle. Proper downsizing supports healthier healing and long-term comfort.

How do I clean my piercings?

We have everything you need to take care of your piercings the right way. In our shop, we use and recommend Easy Piercing (Otzi) products, specially formulated to clean, disinfect, and support healing for all types of piercings.

When you purchase a kit in-store, we’ll take the time to explain exactly how to use it. You’ll also find step-by-step instructions in the included leaflet or right here on our website.

Do you also pierce kids?

We offer earlobe piercings with a needle for children from the age of 8. This method is gentle and safe, but the process can look a bit more serious compared to earring shooting, which may feel intimidating to younger children.

That’s why we believe it’s important for parents to take some time in advance to explain what the experience will be like. Letting your child know it might pinch for a moment, but that it’s quick and manageable can help them feel more at ease.

Our team is patient and caring. We always make sure your child feels safe, calm, and comfortable, and we follow strict hygiene protocols using fully sterile, high-quality materials.

Curious or unsure?
Feel free to stop by the shop anytime for a chat. We’re happy to provide more information and let you and your child get to know us before making a decision.

How do I take care of my earrings done with a piercing gun?

For earrings done with a piercing gun, it’s important not to touch or twist the new earrings.

Clean them twice a day for two weeks using a sterile saline solution or an alcohol-free aftercare product.
• You can switch to new earrings after 6–8 weeks, but if your lobes are still sensitive, it’s best to wait a little longer.
• Make sure to keep something in for the first year, or the holes may close up.

My piercing looks infected. What do I do?

If your piercing isn’t healing as expected, don’t worry, just stop by our shop. We’re always happy to take a look, offer advice, and help you get back on track.

There are several reasons a piercing might need extra care, and different issues require different solutions. When we see the piercing in person, we can properly assess the situation and figure out what’s going on.

Some common examples:
Swelling can make the bar too short, this is easily solved by switching to a longer bar.
Irritation bumps may be helped by using silicone discs, which apply gentle pressure and help reduce fluid buildup.

These are just a few examples, we have more solutions available in-store, tailored to your specific needs.

How do I know which size I need?

Piercing jewelry sizing is based on two factors:
Thickness (gauge) and length (or diameter) of the jewelry.

 Thickness

We use three main thicknesses depending on the type of piercing:

  • 0.8 mm – Used for nose piercings and earlobes

  • 1.2 mm – The most common size for all ear piercings like helix, tragus, conch, daith, and more

  • 1.6 mm – Used for belly button, nipple, and tongue piercings

Length & Diameter

The length of the bar varies based on your anatomy and piercing placement, typically ranging from 4 mm to 12 mm.
For hoops, diameters usually range between 5 mm and 12 mm.

Choosing the right size is important for comfort, healing, and the look of your piercing. We’re happy to help you find the perfect fit!

Can I return my order?

We can not accept returns because of sanitary reasons. If you are not sure which size you need we recommend coming to our shop were we are happy to help you.
